How to get to Montmorency Falls

Montmorency Falls is located just outside of Quebec City, about a 15-minute drive from the city center. Here are a few options for getting to the falls:

  1. By car: You can drive to the falls yourself and park in the on-site parking lot.
  2. By public transportation: You can take the RTC bus #800 from downtown Quebec City to the Montmorency Falls stop. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes.

Once you arrive at Montmorency Falls, there is a fee for parking and access to the park. However, you can also see the falls from outside the park for free by walking along the road or the bike path.

Take in the view

The falls are over 270 feet tall, making them even taller than Niagara Falls. You can view them from a variety of angles, including from the observation deck, suspension bridge, and the panoramic stairway.

Ride the cable car

The cable car takes you to the top of the falls for breathtaking views. You can also choose to walk up the stairs for a more active experience.

Zip-line over the falls

There are several hiking trails in the area, including a 3-kilometer loop trail that takes you around the falls and a longer 7.5-kilometer trail that goes through the surrounding forest.
